Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a custom pool build take in NC?

Most residential pool projects run from initial design through final start-up over several months, depending on permit turnaround, weather, and scope of the surround. We provide a project-specific timeline at contract signing.

What is the difference between gunite and vinyl?

Gunite pools are sprayed-in-place concrete with a steel rebar cage and finish coat — they can be built in any shape, accept tile and stonework, and are the most durable option in North Carolina's freeze-thaw climate. Vinyl liner pools use a steel or polymer wall with a replaceable liner; they cost less up front but the liner is a wear item.

Do I need a permit to build a pool?

Yes. Every residential pool in North Carolina requires a building permit and inspections from your local jurisdiction. We handle the permit submission, plan review, and inspection scheduling as part of the build.
